In my obscurity came forth a light that illuminated my soul

Magic

I live a dream.
A silent reverie, quiet and cunning I
live there most of the time… it's my home I
am never alone
Memory is my confederate (and I am very prudent with it) With humor and candor, and ego and humility
It comforts me, guides me, centers me and calms me....
It's adventurous and curious, imaginative and intuitive.
It's my fantasy
And it's my reality.
It prevents me from danger
While it protects me and shields me from intruders
Occasionally, it fools me
At times it gets in the way
But always.... always,
It saves me just in the nick of time
Mysterious in nature
I direct its course
Often I do something drastic

I change

Belinda Sinclair is a magicienne, hypnotist

More than a practitioner of Magic and performance, Sinclair’s depth in past experience is nothing short of astounding.

Belinda then studied theology at Marble Collegiate and World Christian Ministries earning a PhD. in Divinity and is an ordained Reverend. A seasoned world traveler, Belinda Sinclair combined her many interests and produced, wrote and directed a documentary about Migrant Natives and their Medicinal Religious Origins encompassing magic, religion and medicine amongst native Americans and the Mayan civilization.

In February 2005 Sinclair traveled to the prestigious Magic Circle in London for acceptance into their inner sanctum libraries, which led to an arduous exam and magic audition that provided her with a membership. This new membership allowed her an initiation to research within their magic inner sanctums and private libraries opening worlds of noetic, scientific and historic information. Like living in some fairytale, with its secret societies, Belinda researched and uncovered thousands of pages and articles about female magicians that have been hidden since before the 12th century. As her research intensified she was asked to present and perform her awe-inspiring magic for the esteemed “centenary celebrations”, their 100-year birthday of The Magic Circle.

This event was held in London in April 2005 and was extremely successful as her presentation was original, entertaining and filled with history, primarily about female magiciennes. From this performance Belinda was able to recruit more help worldwide inviting her to other off limit private sanctuaries and libraries for research. Belinda has been collecting magic for more than 25 years and has accumulated over 10,000 pieces of ephemera, posters, books and archival footage making hers the largest library in the world on female magiciennes qualifying her as a world renowned expert in the field of the history of women in magic. In addition to creating rave reviews while headlining in "Phenomena: False evidence appearing real", a New York off Broadway show featuring her astonishing, quick prestidigitation, magical re-enactments and history of women in magic, she is currently working on Magicienne", the History of women in magic from antiquity to the 21st century. This multifaceted project will include a six book series, an in-depth documentary in six parts, film and television productions, museum exhibitions as well as a large-scale theatrical presentation featuring the world's top female magiciennes.

As an actor she is a member of Screen Actors Guild and has performed for the New York Shakespeare Festival and The Joseph Papp public Theater playing featured roles such as Lady Anne in Richard III, the Muse in King Lear, Cleopatra in Anthony and Cleopatra, the Pupil in Insect's The Lesson, and Cassandra in Hecuba, among others.

In front of 3000 people, Belinda performed an original, theatrical production that not only included her renowned close up magic, but incorporated her troupe of musicians and dancers who lit up the stage with their Zapatista rhythms, traditional flamenco and ethnic dance numbers and songs. The international magic community went wild. Though controversial in some of the staid and more traditional magic circles, Belinda's production and performance was considered by the most respected and internationally accomplished people in the magic and entertainment community to be the highlight of FISM 2006.

She has performed before Al Gore, The Dali Lama and many other celebrities and dignitaries from around the world.

Belinda is fluent in Spanish & English, performs in both and is proficient in sign language.
